35.000 free interrail tickets to young EU citizens
What is DiscoverEU?
DiscoverEU is an EU initiative that offers young EU citizens the opportunity to go on Interrail and travel by train around Europe for a full month. 35,000 young EU citizens get a chance to receive a free interrail ticket via DiscoverEU. If you are selected, you can travel for a period ofminimum 1 day and up to 30 days between1 July 2022 and 30 June 2023.
Funded by the European Parliament,the project aims at supporting 18-year-olds to become more independent, develop soft skills and embrace European values.
Who can apply?
DiscoverEU is open to people aged 18. This means that people born in the periodbetween 1 July 2003 and 30 June 2004can apply to participate in DiscoverEU in the upcoming application round.
Notethat you can also apply through 'DiscoverEU Inclusion' which allowsyoung EU citizens with fewer opportunities to participate in DiscoverEU on equal footing with their peers.
Application deadline and other practical information
More than 130. 0000 people have been awarded a travel pass since the first application round in June 2018. Another round will take place betweenThursday 7 April 2022 at 12:00 (CEST) and Thursday 21 April 2022 at 12:00 (CEST).
