Counselors' Role in the Local and Global Community International Conference

NBCC Romania and University of Bucharest, in partnership with the Institute of Education Sciences, invites you on February 16-18, 2018, to the International Conference “Counselors’ role in the local and global community”, an event exclusively dedicated to practitioners, students and scholars in the areas of school counseling, career development and guidance and mental health counseling areas. The organizers’ intentions are to bring together such experts and to encourage the formation of professional networks that will hopefully last many years. We will discuss standards, credentialing, skills and educational programs in counseling, and also opportunities to access and run grants and other types of funding to promote counseling services in our local communities and at the regional level.

Various local and international experts and institutions will be present; among them, we mention: Dr. Ronald Sultana (University of Malta; Euro-Mediterranean Centre for Educational Research); ACES (Association for Counselor Education and Supervision, USA, represented by President Dr. Melissa Luke, President), CACREP (Council for the Accreditation of Counseling and Related Programs, USA, represented by Dr. Rick Gressard, CEO), NBCC (National Board for Certified Counselors, USA, represented by Dr. Thomas Clawson, CEO), EBCC (European Board for Certified Counselors), ACROM (Romanian Counselors Association, represented by Dr. Marian Craciun, President).

We invite all the experts who identify themselves as counselors to join us in this effort to build a stronger professional counseling community that expands beyond the borders of our countries. We welcome your papers, presentations, and workshops. The papers will be published by June 2018 in a volume which will be indexed in an international database.
