This course will introduce students to popular themes and perspectives in Psychology. This course explores the relationship between some of the functioning of the brain and human behaviour. Beginning with a look at Perceptual and Cognitive processes, students will explore how the brain makes sense of the world, and how this affects our behaviour. The course touches on many aspects of human behaviour, including processes that influence how we behave in Social situations, how babies learn, aspects of Personality, and Freud's contribution to Psychology.

Students will gain an insight into the ways in which Psychologists study human behaviour, and some of the more surprising things we now know.
