European Commission public consultations to prepare the next Multiannual Financial Framework

The European Commission has launched a series of public consultations on 10 January 2018 to prepare the next Multiannual Financial Framework (MFF).

The consultations cover the entire spectrum of EU future funding and aim to collect the views of all interested parties on how to make the most of every euro of the EU budget. The consultation clusters reflect the current structure of the MFF but do not prejudge the structure of the future MFF. There are two specific consultations on Cohesion and Values and Mobility that include questions related to the future of programmes currently run by DG Employment.

The consultations include questions on current performance and future challenges of our programmes. They will help us to gather relevant feedback on what has worked well in the past and what could be improved in the future.

The views already expressed in previous consultations done in the context of Mid-term evaluations will also be taken into account when designing future programmes.

The results of the consultations will be used in 2018 by the Commission to make proposals for the next generation of financial programmes.

The questionnaires are accessible in 23 languages. Please note that the public consultation will run until 8 March 2018.
