TheEuropean Commission has launched theofficial websiteof the European Year of Skills. This website gathers contributions, events, tools and ideas to contribute to the goals of EYS.

The European Year of Skills will give a fresh impetus to lifelong learning, empowering people and companies to contribute to the green and digital transitions, supporting innovation and competitiveness.

The European Year of Skills will provide a new momentum to reach theEU 2030 social targetsof at least 60% of adults in training every year, and at least 78% in employment.

The initiative will also help achieve the2030 Digital Compasstargets of at least 80% of adults with basic digital skills and 20 million employed ICT specialists in the EU.

For the European Year of Skills, the EU will build on many ongoing initiatives, includingtheEuropean Skills Agenda, thePact for Skills, theCouncil Recommendations onIndividual Learning Accounts and Micro-credentials, theEUDigital Skills and Jobs Coalition,theDigital Skills and Jobs Platformlaunched under theConnecting Europe FacilitytheStructured Dialoguewith the EU Member States on Digital Education and Skills, theNew European Innovation Agendaand theEuropean strategy for universities, the roll-out of anEU Talent Pooland ofTalent Partnershipswith selected third partners.
