In June 2016, the European Commission launched Skills Agenda is considered highly important, for
the new Skills Agenda for Europe. The main aim example, in helping citizens make better career

Several Euroguidance Centres participated in the
Commission Skills Agenda launch event as well
as in the Education Training Youth Forum (ETYF)
to get an overview of the related policy and
strategy goals. The Skills Agenda was also the
topic of the ETYF event. Both events – with a mix
of high-level presentations, thematic workshops,
expert round tables and panels – gave concrete
examples of actions that could be taken across
Europe to support citizens in acquiring new skills.
